Sweater 3, Knitter 0

I'm getting my butt kicked by this sweater. It the Am'Ran Gra from Knitpicks. If I pickup the stitches according to the directions, the sleeves are way too poofy. If I pick up less, they look emaciated. Gotta figure out something in between.
